Overview

We are looking for an AI Ethics Researcher to help ensure our AI technologies are developed and deployed responsibly. You will conduct research on ethical implications of AI systems and develop frameworks and guidelines for responsible AI development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research ethical implications and potential risks of advanced AI systems
  • Develop frameworks and methodologies for evaluating AI fairness, transparency, and accountability
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ethical considerations into AI development processes
  • Design and conduct experiments to identify and mitigate algorithmic bias
  • Create documentation and guidelines for responsible AI development and deployment
  • Stay current with emerging ethical issues, regulations, and best practices in AI
  • Represent the company in industry discussions and academic forums on AI ethics

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Philosophy, Ethics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their societal implications
  • Experience conducting research on technology ethics, algorithmic bias, or related areas
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to translate complex ethical concepts into actionable guidelines
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and policy frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in AI Ethics, Philosophy of Technology, or related field
  • Publications in AI ethics, fairness, accountability, or transparency
  • Experience implementing ethical frameworks in practical AI applications
  • Background in both technical and philosophical aspects of AI
  • Knowledge of global perspectives on AI ethics and cultural considerations
  • Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration
